Taliban warns foreigners
The leader of the Taliban, Mawlawi Haibatullah Akhundzada has warned the foreign not to interfere in Afghanistan, again. Claiming that Afghanistan will not be able to develop without being independent, hence no interactions with external foreign sources. ââ Thank God, we are now an independent country. (Foreigners) should not give us their orders, it is our system, and we have our own decisions," Akhundzada added.â These recent statements, however, seem to contradict statements that were made by other members of the Talibanâs leadership in recent months, who have stated their openness to becoming a more inclusive government to be able to gain the support of international communities. Who has stated repeatedly that the Taliban must broaden their ranks in their government, and reinstate the rights of women and girls, to be officially recognized? And without these changes, there would be no international recognition and The World Bank has proven projects that cost around hundreds of millions of dollars.
High court terms on abortion, guns and more
Former President Donald Trumpâs appointees that currently reside in the Supreme Court are in their 50s, which are the six-justice conservative majority who seem very poised of keeping control of the court for more years to come. The actions of overturning Roe V. Wade, which ended a nearly half-century assurance of abortion rights ignited immediate courses of action, whether it was prohibiting or restriction abortions in dozen states in the following days of the overturning.
American summers are getting hotter
There have been multiple wildfires that have been burning for weeks on end in Reno, Nevada. Temperatures during the summer in Reno have risen 10.9 degrees Fahrenheit, on average, since the 70s, which is steadily becoming the fastest-warming city in the nation. This is an example of extreme climate change which is fundamentally altering the summer months, transforming the supposed enjoyable summer months into extreme heat, having extremely polluted air, and tarnishing the potential fun during the summer. Though it is still the earlier part of the summer season, different parts of the nation have experienced high temperatures, drought, wildfires, storms or different combinations of these extremities.

Israel's government destroyed itselfâ On purpose
In a move that shocked foreign governments, Israel voted to dissolve Parliament on Thursday, marking the end of Israelâs governmental experiment. The Parliamentary system was in place for only a year, and its end is accompanied by the countryâs fifth election in less than four years. The pioneer of the recently dissolved system, Yair Lapid, was appointed as a temporary Prime Minister until elections are held in November. The past few years have been rough for governing in Israel following the ousting of 12-year leader Benjamin Netanyahu and Naftali Bennet taking the position of Prime Minister, which he retired from after about a year of governing. On top of electoral issues, Israel has been engaged in armed conflict with Palestine, a land which Israel lays claim overâ a claim that Palestine denies.
Conservative Political Commentary
The collapse of the parliament in Israel has left the door open for the return of Netanyahu, the previous prime minister of Israel. President Bidenâs administration has clearly shown they would prefer Yair Lapid, the interim prime minister, to stay in power. Lapid is supportive of an independent Palestine which could lead to the end of the decades-long conflict in the area. He also seems to be the more honourable candidate considering Netanyahu has been buried with allegations and investigations of corruption while prime minister. In an article by CNBC, it was said âThe main determinant of how people vote will be âNetanyahu or not Netanyahu,ââ(Turak).
With the Presidentâs upcoming visit to Israel, it is hopeful that he can aid in boosting Lapidâs popularity. Increased popularity would aid Lapidâs ability to remain in power when the elections occur in October. As the creator of on of the largest coalitions in Israeli history to get the government majority needed to gain power Lapid is clearly capable of keeping multiple parties interests at heart. It also displays a charisma needed in a state leader. With this being the fifth election in three years for Israel, a charismatic and flexible leader is necessary to preserve the government. Without a functional government in Israel the entire area is destabilized and the crisis in Palestine worsened by inaction. Hopefully, Israel can gain a functional government with this new election and the shenanigans of dissolving parliament will cease.

Liberal Political Commentary
Admittedly, Israel is a touchy subject. It seems as though no matter the issue, something controversial is occurring in either the government or with the nationâs military. Israelâs government dissolving itself was shocking to most, but thereâs something that can be admired in a nation realizing that its system of government isnât functioning at the level it should, and seeking out a solution. Actions like thisâ a governmentâs ability to admit faultâ is crucial to the growth of nations regardless of the size, and a few nations could learn a thing or two from the Parliament dissolving itself.Although itâs unclear why Prime Minister Bennet resigned, one could be inclined to say that it was for the worldâs benefit. Bennet was the former head of a movement that supported illegally annexing part of Palestinian territory, and objected to a truce with militants that lead to more bloodshed. Itâs possible that Bennet realized he was not the leader Israel and the world needed, so he resigned. With everything said, one cannot in good conscience praise the Israeli government without mentioning its sins: the cruel attacks that it is continuously carrying out in Palestine. The current occupation of Palestinian territory is nothing short of apartheid, and has lead to the violent bombing and shooting deaths of thousands of civilians.

Economy
It is predicted that some of the worldâs most prosperous economies will experience a recession within the next year, including Japan, the UK, and Canada. Itâs only natural for recessions to follow inflation, which these nations and many more are currently dealing with as living costs soar and governments are scrambling to react. These early warning signs are causing central banks to examine their policies and prepare ahead of time in case a recession hits. (Source: Bloomberg)
China is currently headed to being the worldâs largest economy and is expected to surpass the United States to gain this title within the next ten years. This has been decades in the making, with China being the worldâs highest exporter for over 12 years, and has seen economic growth as high as 4x that of the US in the last four decades.
